This 40 pin extension will work for older IDE drive circuits but won't work with the new Ultra ATA drives. When a longer length is needed to an Ultra ATA drive, the best solution is to have a new longer Ultra ATA cable made (L1240), Please Call for a quote on a custom length cable.
